1) Though not specifically mentioned anywhere, it is very likelyAvril Lavigne was singing Hot about her then boyfriend/fiancé and now ex-husband, Deryck Whibley.
2) The lead singer of Train, Pat Monahan, did not sing the song about his wife. He was imagining what the women were like at Burning Man celebrations.
3) Surprise, surprise. Gwen Stefani made No Doubt perform another one of her personal songs… this time about Gavin Rossdale and not her ex-boyfriend, ex-band mate, Tony Kanal.
4) This one might throw you for a loop. Billy Joel originally wrote this with then girlfriend, Elle Macpherson, in mind, and it sorta ended up becoming about his future wife, Christie Brinkley.
5) Pink was having plenty of ups-and-downs with her husband, Carey Hart, so it was most likely about him. It was definitely not about the sunglasses-wearing guy…
