Happy Find… My Impending Songsmith Addiction

The wunderkinds wonderbreads Vistapushers, um, developers at Microsoft have developed a retarded gay lame program called Songsmith.  If you’re brave enough to watch the research team’s demonstration video about the product, be my guest and click here.

For those of you wise enough to trust me, which isn’t saying altogether much about either of us if you do, all you need to know is that Songsmith is a music making program.  And I use “music making” in the loosest sense.

The premise is this: you hook your mic up to your pc and open the application.  You sing a made up song however you want, and the program will create the backup music for you.  Srsly.

The fun part is that there’s a YouTube channel by azz100c that contains plenty of famous original vocals run through the program.  A few of my favorites are a folksy version of “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor, and to explain the sound of Billy Idol’s “White Wedding” would spoil the fun.

(Thank you again ever so much Videogum… you rock!)

Happy Find… Git’Mo At Gitmo! (SNL Skit)

Aside from John Malkovich’s recent stint on Saturday Night Live, the material has been lacking.  This bit from Rosario Dawson’s show is probably the best of the night.

Happy Find… Talking Goats

Sorry about the bulk of  videos today, but they were talking about this on a local radio station this morning (89X, y’all), and I had to put it up, too.  I don’t know why it’s so funny to me, but I believe the subtitles “Help!”

Sleepy Find… Cute Things Falling Asleep

Watch this and tell me you weren’t effected by it in some way you robot:

It’s like the Long Island Ice Tea of emotions – you get your Aaaaw, then you get your laugh, then you go back to Aaaaw again.  The only ingredient missing is a puppy sneeze.

It’s courtesy of Cute Things Falling Asleep.  Creator Nick Malis had this to say in Time:

“I once rated a baby a 2, and the mother wrote me and said, ‘I think my baby is more than a 2.’ ” Malis refused to change the rating. “My attitude is this: I didn’t make your baby a 2 — you did. It just happens to be a 2. That’s what it is; I’m sorry.”

Man, I need to see this baby.  I found one that combines the same attributes as the above pooch video, and it has 2-rating… but I’d venture to bet that there is more than one ugly sleepy kid on the TripleDoubleU.

I’m just afraid to look.

Happy Find… Big Man Japan

This could be will be the greatest film ever.  It’s set to arrive here in May.  Not sure if it will come in theaters or on DVD, but Magnolia’s handling the distribution, so it could be a simultaneous release.

And I’m all about the simultaneous release.  Like when you’re helping to hold a fridge or a heavy cabinet, and you both let it go on the count of three… yeah, just like that.

Happy Find… Hamster On A Piano (Eating Popcorn)

Thank you dearly to Filmdrunk for bringing this video to my attention.  If you haven’t seen it before, you haven’t seen anything.  If I had this kind of focus, imagine what I could accomplish in this world.  Sure, I might tip over the edge of a piano with no one there to catch me, but still…

BONUS: And for Venessa, a follow up to an old Happy Find – Episodes 2 through 4 of “My Best Friend is My Penis.”  Plus Episode 1, if you missed it.

Episode 1    Episode 2    Episode 3    Episode 4

Happy Find… Yes, Let Me Taste Your Tears, Or Puddin’

I don’t know if it’s because I’ve always been a big brother, or if it’s simply because I’m a horrible human being… but the sight of people crying makes me smile.

Sounds like evil to me.

Obviously, I find this video hilarious:

A question of whether it’s real or not is a moot point to me.  Did we wonder if Pee Wee Herman was a weirdo in real-life while we were enjoying “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure?”  Well, maybe we should have before giving him a kid’s show, but it doesn’t mean he’s still not funny.  Check out his episode from the first season of “30 Rock” or watch this weird bit from “Tom Goes to the Mayor:”

Happy Find… Cheetah Lady

Tears of joys are still spilling from my eyes.  As soon as I finish watching this video, I can’t wait to watch it again.  IT’S THAT FUCKING GOOD.

I don’t know if Cheetah Lady is trying to be ironic, or if she took acting lessons from Christian Bale on how to talk like a humanimal, but I think my most favorite thing about this is how she goes off script (if there even is a script) and rolls with the punches.  She’s sick of being a wide animal, and she doesn’t want a phone, but she wants a phone.  If even a quarter of Saturday Night Live’s cast members could improv like CL, it’d be like the 90’s all over again at 30 Rockefeller.

(P.S. If you pay attention, I think you can see her panties through her costume’s opening… if you’re into that kind of thing.  I’m certainly not.)

(via Videogum… thank you oh so much for this… I mean it)

Meh Find… Lily Allen’s Womanizer

This one’s not quite so much a Happy Find as Meh Find.  Damn this song for getting stuck in my head in the first place, and damn it again for getting remade into something more tolerable.  It’s like getting a butterknife stuck in my head as opposed to a mace.  (via IDLYITW)

Happy Find… Monster In A Wheelchair And The Death Bed That Eats People

Okay, these are pretty old, but I’ve had a very busy day.  Accept my apologies or I will sick either of these monster on you… or both.

If they combined forces they’d be the Bedridden Monster.

P.S. For the record, my lack of effort on this post is pretty much up to par with both these clips.
